(Tsh8000-10,000 in a taxi). Dalla-dallas to the train station leave from either New or Old
Posta transport stands, and are marked Vigunguti, U/Ndege or Buguruni.

GETTING AROUND
To/From the Airport
Julius Nyerere International Airport is 12km from the city centre. Dalla-dallas (marked
U/Ndege) go to the airport from New Posta transport stand. In heavy traffic the trip can
easily take over an hour, and there's no room for luggage. Taxis to central Dar es Salaam
cost Tsh15,000 to Tsh20,000 (Tsh25,000 to Tsh30,000 to Msasani Peninsula).

Dalla-dallas (minibuses) go almost everywhere in the city for Tsh200 to Tsh500. They are
invariably packed to overflowing, and are difficult to board with luggage. First and last
