This is an example which illustrates that during the transformation of the old city
of Beijing, there did exist setbacks in our experience which need to be summed up
for future reference when we revise the city plan of Beijing. Of course, this is only
my personal view on the matter which may not be correct after all. The heartening
thing is that we are free to carry on liberal discussions on controversial issues now.
