Eating & Drinking
If the sea has been bountiful, various hotels serve the catch of the day, though you can al-
ways count on a long list of German specialities. If you're self-catering, there are a num-
ber of supermarkets as well as small seafood merchants in town. And finally, if you're a
drinker, most restaurants double as watering holes, though Lüderitz tends to be fairly sub-
dued once the sun drops.

(Hafen St; mains N$60-90; breakfast & lunch, dinner, closed Sun; ) This cosy little
restaurant has a simple set-up with the emphasis on the lovingly prepared food not the
aesthetics. The cute menus (remember the Rubik's cube?) reveal seafood dishes (such as
the platter, N$180) and a smattering of other options including coronation chicken. The
presentation of the food is delightful and everything is cooked fresh - love and time are
the two most important ingredients in the food.
