Getting There & Away
To reach Tsisab Ravine from Uis, head 15km north and turn west on the D2359, which
leads 26km to the Tsisab car park. To reach Numas Ravine, head 14km south of Uis and
follow the D2342 for 55km, where you'll see a rough track turning eastwards. After about
10km, you'll reach a fork; the 4WD track on the right leads to the Numas Ravine car park.
MESSUM CRATER
One of Damaraland's most remote natural attractions is the highly mysterious-looking
Messum Crater, which comprises two concentric circles of hills created by a collapsed
volcano in the Goboboseb Mountains. The crater measures more than 20km in diameter,
creating a vast lost world that you're likely to have all to yourself.
Camping is prohibited inside the crater.
