( cnr Sam Nujoma Dr & Independence St; Fri & Sat) Offering up a little bit of
Havana, Namibian-style, El Cubano reopened in 2012 in the basement of the Hilton

and of course a Facebook page.
Joe's Beer House
( 160 Nelson Mandela Ave) True to its moniker, Joe's stocks a wide assortment of Namibi-
an and German beers, and you can count on prolonged drinking here until early in the
morning. It's the favoured drinking hole of Afrikaners.
PUB
Café Balalaika
( Independence Ave, Zoo Park) This spot, cafe by day, bar by night, features a terrace with
the capital's largest rubber tree. Live music and karaoke features, as does a cool bar scene
with some great beer on tap.

( 4 Nasmith St, Southern Industrial Area; Wed-Sat) Formerly La Dee Da's, this is an-
