Birdwatching
Botswana is a birding utopia with almost 600 species recorded. Namibia's best birdlife is
concentrated in the lush Caprivi Strip. Species include the delta's famous African skim-
mers, bee-eaters, lilac-breasted rollers, pygmy geese, goshawks, several species of vul-
tures and African fish eagles.
Okavango Panhandle A narrow strip of swampland that extends for about 100km to the
