Mugging is not such a problem anymore, but at dawn and dusk wild animals such as ele-
phants and warthogs do roam the streets away from the town centre, so take taxis at these
times. Although it's perfectly safe to walk to and from the falls, it's advisable to stick to
the more touristed areas.
