over a waterhole in the dried-out Auob River, with stunning blood-red thirst lands all
around. Basic supplies are available at Mata Mata Rest Camp, 3km away.

If
you're after a more luxurious experience, book a night in Kgalagadi's only upmarket
lodge accommodation. Owned and operated by the local San community, the lodge is a
dry, dreamy fantasy in ochre, decorated with wall hangings made by a local women's sew-
ing collective and overlooking an evocative circular pan. The on-site pool feels a little
much in these dry lands, but the San staff, cultural activities and excellent wildlife drives
round out a wonderful package.

Airstrips (for chartered flights only) are located at Ghanzi, Tshabong, Twee Rivieren and
Nossob Camp.
The Two Rivers section is accessible from the south via Two Rivers and from the north
via Kaa. Access to the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park is via Twee Rivieren. Both are
