MAITISONG FESTIVAL
Botswana's largest performing-arts festival, the week-long Maitisong Festival is held in late March or early April.
The festival features an outdoor programme of music, theatre, film and dance that takes place on several stages
throughout the capital. There's also an indoor programme, held in the Maitisong Cultural Centre and in the Mem-
orable Order of Tin Hats (MOTH) Hall; highlights include some of the top performing artists from around Africa.
Programmes to events are usually available in shopping malls and centres during the month leading up to the
festival. Outdoor events are free; indoor events cost from P40 to P200. For P500 you can buy a ticket that
provides access to everything on offer during the festival.

Maitisong Festival

performing-arts festival in Botswana. It's held annually for seven days during the last
week of March or the first week of April.
