ics Google's logo and this provides an immediate visual clue as to the likely plot and loca-
tion of the film. In a similar manner, the film title typeface plus the layout used in the poster
for True Grit (2010) is reminiscent of the 'Wanted' posters of 19

century America.

The careful application of typeface as well as typeface size can help to convey meaning
and information linked to content and/or narrative in visual imagery.
