Similarly, certain film genres tend to feature specific colour palettes that are easily identifi-
able via hue, saturation and tonal chord. For example, vampire romantic fantasy films often
feature a chiaroscuro-style, strongly contrast colours in a low major tonal chord coupled
with relatively de-saturated colours and a preponderance of dark blue, dark brown and
black. This colour palette is evident in the Twilight saga films:
