6.4 The aerial work platform (scissor lift)
The hydraulic aerial work platform may
be used for:

handling and fixing curtain wall
framing and glazed infill panels to a
building facade
●
fixing purlins to the roof of a steel
portal frame
●
handling a variety of materials - as
used in filling gabion mesh cages etc.
●
temporary access for people or
equipment to inaccessible areas,
usually at height
●
work platform usually fitted with
electrical outlets or a compressed air
supply
●
access for cleaning of building
facades.
