Absorb Liquids
Liquid pesticide spills can be further contained by covering the entire spill
with absorbent materials, such as spill pads, blankets or pillows, absorbent
clay, vermiculite, sawdust, corn cobs, expanded silica, or other acceptable ma-
terial.

Spill-Absorbent Materials
Many different products are in the marketplace. Most of these materials
have been in use for many years, and many will continue to be of value in the
remediation of spilled materials. Since the purpose of this guide is to give the
user enough information to respond quickly, effectively, and safely to most
common incidents, we will briefly discuss only a few of the many different
materials that will serve the above purposes. For more information, the user
can refer to the reference listings.
