In-Depth Information
(Chapel St) Purportedly the town's oldest pub, there's been a tavern on the site of the Turk's
Head since the 13th century. It was supposedly a favourite hangout for Penzance's 'free
traders'; a subterranean smugglers tunnel once led straight to the harbour from the cellar
(now the dining room). Skinner's and Sharp's ales on tap.

(Chapel St) In stark contrast to Chapel St's other pubs, this new boy is more urban chic than
olde-worlde. There's a big open-plan bar serving quality coffees, beers and cocktails, and
a sprawling patio out back that's popular with Penzance's trendy set.
