Exmoor has been Europe's only designated Dark Sky Reserve, a recognition of the quality of the moor's night-
time skies and the lack of light pollution. Stargazing safaris and organised nighttime walks are offered by the Na-
tional Park Authority (NPA), or you can just bring a pair of binoculars and do your own star-spotting.
