They're nicely finished, but a little on the small side and only a handful have proper sea
views. The location's wonderful though, with headland and coves on your doorstep.

choices. It's near the town centre, with stylish cream rooms livened up with stripy cush-
ions, bright duvets and wicker furniture. Some have window seats, but only one has bay
views.

Cornwall's sexiest
hotel by a country mile, and ecofriendly to boot (recycled rainwater, biomass boiler, re-
newable energy supplier). On the bluffs above Mawgan Porth, the hotel's rooms all boast
eye-popping ocean views and defiantly modern design: minimalist bathrooms, statement
furniture, industrial-chic materials and an outdoor 'wild pool'. The spa is a stunner, too.
We particularly liked the 'Unique' rooms, which have their own little gardens and rooftop
patios, reached via a spiral staircase.

Don't be put off by the
boxy exterior: inside the Bedruthan offers contemporary rooms in bright primary colours
and bold pattern prints, plus spacious villas and apartments for longer stays. Full-day kids'
clubs and lots of organised activities have earned it a reputation as one of Cornwall's best
hotels for families. There's lots of lively art and colourful furniture dotted around the
lounge and library, making for a fun and quirky space to stay.

multi-million-pound refit, the Watergate is a beachside beauty. The rooms shine in slinky
pinks, candy-stripes and sea-blues, partnered with wicker chairs, stripped wood and mini
seaview balconies - but you're paying a lot for the premium location.
