This organic farm, 1.5 miles from Crackington Haven, has a choice of plush yurts or cosy
self-catering cottages (we particularly liked sleek Skyber Barn and stone-fronted Apple-

on sale in the shop.

Old Rectory
( 01840-250225; www.stjuliot.com ; St Juliot; d £95-102; Mar-Nov; ) This house, a short drive
from Boscastle, was the home of St Juliot's parson and the place where Thomas Hardy
wooed his wife-to-be. It's heavy on the Victoriana - upholstered furniture, thick drapes,
sash windows - but the grounds are gorgeous. There's more space in the stable, with
private entrance and woodburner.
