Anchor Lights

; The Quay, West Looe; d £75-92)
Despite the unprepossessing
pebble-dash exterior, inside this B&B is light, bright and uncluttered. The four main
rooms have brilliant views over the harbour, and are all named after local notables: aim
for Colliver or Pengelly, or go for Piran if you're on a budget and don't mind bunkbeds.

Eating
There are plenty of cafes and teashops dotted along the main street in East Looe.
Sarah's Pasty Shop
( 01503-263973;
www.sarahspastyshop.com
; 6 Buller St; 9am-4pm Mon-Sat, 10am-4pm Sun)
Much-loved
Looe pasty shop, with some controversial variations on the theme including lamb, mint
and leek, chickpea and lentil and a 'breakfast fry-up' (with sausage, beans, egg, bacon and
tomato). As usual, the traditional pasties are the best - but it's worth turning up on 'Fishy
Friday' for the rather good mackerel, horseradish and pea pasty.
