If you're looking to catch a wave, then you're in luck - the coastlines of Devon and
Cornwall have some of the most reliable surf anywhere in Europe. The surfing epicentre is

, with Croyde in Devon coming a close second, but you'll find lots of
quieter surf spots scattered around the region's shores. You can learn the basics in a day,
but mastering the art takes years of practice. The only drawback is the water temperature,
which is rather bone-chilling - but with a decent wetsuit you won't feel the chill.
