Eating & Drinking
Pilchard
(Burgh Island; snacks £6; meals 11am-5pm) What a spot to sip a pint and watch the waters rise.
The atmospheric 14th-century Pilchard Inn (think beams and open fire) sits on the shores
of Burgh Island, so it's cut off from the mainland at high tide. Which somehow makes the
real ale and baguettes all the more flavoursome.
