BOAT
Fleets of pleasure boats set sail from Dartmouth; as well as being picturesque boat trips

Dartmouth-Kingswear Ferries ( www.dartmouthhigherferry.com ; single foot passengers 50p-£1.10, single car incl
passengers £4-4.70; 8am-10.45pm) Dartmouth's Higher and Lower Ferries both take cars and
foot passengers, shuttling across the river to Kingswear every 6 minutes. The slightly big-
ger Higher Ferry crosses the river 300m north (upstream) of the town centre, but both ser-
vices connect to the main road into Kingswear, on the east bank.
BUS
Kingsbridge (1 hour, hourly Monday to Saturday, every 2 hours Sunday) Bus 93.
Torquay (1¼ hours, every 2 hours Monday to Saturday) Bus X81.
TRAIN
The Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company runs a steam train from Paignton
to Kingswear (adult/child return £11/6.50).
