West Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly
Prehistoric Sites
The Penwith moors have more prehistoric sites than almost anywhere else in the West
Country. You'll find numerous stone circles here, as well as many quoits, dolmens, menhirs
and hillforts.
Last Stop
The wild west is also where the land finally runs out of steam. Land's End is mainland Bri-
tain's most westerly point, and the sea-smacked coast here has an extra-special grandeur.
Island Escapes
Scilly and its low-lying island archipelago are 28 miles west of Land's End. With fine
beaches, unique flora and only a handful of residents, it's an idyllic escape from the outside
world.
