Figure 4.104 shows experimental results of the acoustic noise tests per-
formed on an ADB spindle motor driven by CV-BLDC drive mode and PMSM
drive mode. Comparing these results with those of FDB spindle motors, the
effects of the current-jumping can be disclosed more clearly. These results
show that reasonable drive mode is more important for reduction of acoustic
noise in the ADB spindle motors.
