In-Depth Information
All other members of the team attend to support the decision
maker.
The key to achieving a settlement is moving from history to
influencing the future; from looking back to looking forward.
Mediation gives everyone the opportunity to tell their story but,
having told it, they then need to let it go.
The mediator is there to give the parties the best opportunity to
achieve a settlement, but in the end it is their settlement and how
they use the opportunity is up to them. Some foul it up.
Co-mediation should be seriously considered for multi-party
cases. It is time-efficient and the extra cost is relatively small.
