One of the hotel r estaurant/bars is in the Piano Nobile; another is the Oak B ar,
masculine and Gothic, with a fine selection of liquors, and one of the few bars in Buenos
Aires with smoke filtration. The walls ar e made fr om panels that originally adorned a
medieval Normandy palace. Gioia offers modern Italian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and
dinner; and the Duhau Restaurant, international with French touches, is open for lunch
and dinner. The lay ered gar den in betw een the two buildings, with gently cascading
water-lily-filled pools, is a pleasant place for a drink.
Within the spaces connecting the buildings undergr ound, a wine-and-cheese bar stocks
about 45 artisanal cheeses produced in Argentina, along with wine to enhance the selection.

The spa, called Ahin, offers a range of treatments beginning at about $120 (£82) to nearly
$400 (£274). The gym houses a large heated swimming pool. I nternet access is also av ail-
able in all the r ooms, beginning at $12 (£8.20) a day and decr easing with multiday pur-
chases. All public areas of the hotel have Wi-Fi. Breakfast, a huge multicourse spread, is not
always included in the rates and r uns about $20 (£14) per day.

Four Seasons Hotel Kids This landmark hotel consists of two par ts—the
12-story “Park” tower housing the majority of the guest r ooms, and the 1916 F rench-
style “La M ansión,” with sev en elegant suites and a handful of priv ate-event rooms. A
French-style garden and a pool separate the two buildings, and a w ell-equipped health
club offers spa tr eatments, including a wine massage and facial. The spa is named
Pachamama, in honor of the Native earth goddess, and treatments utilize wine and other
Argentine ingr edients. The hotel 's r estaurant, Le M istral (p . 105), ser ves ex cellent
Mediterranean cuisine in a casual envir onment. S pacious guest r ooms offer atypical
amenities such as walk-in closets, wet and dry bars, stereo systems, and cellphones. Large
marble bathrooms contain separate water-jet bathtubs and showers. Guests on the execu-
tive Library Floor enjoy exclusive check-in and checkout; additional in-r oom amenities
including a printer, fax machine, Argentine wine, complimentary breakfast, and evening
cocktails; and a priv ate lounge. A ttentive staff will assist y ou in arranging day tours of
Buenos Aires, as well as access to golf courses, tennis, boating, and horseback riding. Kids
receive bedtime milk and cookies. While there's big competition around the corner at the
Park Hyatt, the Four Seasons holds its own and continues to win top honors from Condé
