V&S Hostel Finds Privately owned, but part of an Argentine network of hostels,
V&S provides exceptionally friendly ser vice in a conv enient MicroCentro location. The
hostel is inside a gorgeous turn-of-the-20th-centur y apar tment building, with lavish

touches such as cur ved doorway entries, stained-glass ornamentation, and balconies. F ive
private bedrooms with attached shower-stall bathrooms are also available. A kitchen is avail-
able for making meals. G uests can mingle in the quiet librar y, TV sitting r oom, or patio.
Several computers are also available for Internet access. This place is a great value, with air-
conditioning throughout the r ooms, though they charge an electricity fee of about $1 to

de las Luces sometimes offers ev ening tango per formances. The InterContinental is the
only five-star in walking distance to the San Telmo tango district. The Restaurante y Bar
