Planning Your Trip
to Argentina
To be prepared is always good advice. Though you cannot anticipate
every problem that may occur on y our holiday, a little adv ance planning can make the

IN BUENOS AIRES The central office
of the City T ourism Secretariat, Calle
Balcarce 360, in M onserrat ( & 11/4313-
0187; www.turismo.gov.ar), is responsible
for all visitor information on Buenos Aires
but is not open to the general public.
Instead, the city uses sev eral kiosks spread
throughout various neighborhoods, which
have maps and hotel, r estaurant, and
attraction information. Tourist Informa-
tion O ffice, Av. S anta F e 883 ( & 11/
4312-2232 ), is one of the best located as
is the office located at the entrance to
Retiro Terminal.
The Buenos Aires City Tourism Office
runs an information hot line ( & 11/4313-
0187 ) fr om 7:30am to 6pm M onday to
Saturday, and Sunday 11am to 6pm.
