Where to Stay
Cafayate has seen a surge in luxur y accommodations, mostly of the wine lodge v ariety.
Many are within easy walking distance of the village.
Moderate
Killa Cafayate Value With a long, rambling cour tyard of white washed walls,
terra-cotta tiles, wind chimes, and chunky wooden stair cases, Hotel Killa has a bright
Mediterranean feel. I ts four buildings contain spacious r ooms and small immaculate
bathrooms with tubs and po werful showers. The 16 r ooms are decked out with local
stone, windowed wardrobes, and indigenous art. Many have a rooftop view of the village.
Little touches such as ceramic-face tiles in the walls, the occasional wicker chair in the
courtyard, and white-flower creepers, make this one of the most delightful places to stop
over while y ou're touring the ar ea. You will especially enjo y the lovely pool and shaded
courtyard out back. Owner M artha Chocobar is constantly on hand to help and offer
advice on where to go. The hotel is 2 blocks fr om the main plaza.
