Case | Steam Room
The Steam Room is a late-night tea house and venue for Steam
Punk bands. The house features live, steam punk music, a house
tribal fusion dance troupe, and outdoor fi re poi on the weekends;
an improvisational psychedelic jazz jam on Thursday nights; poetry
slams on Wednesday nights; experimental fi lm screenings on Tuesday
nights; and a book club for cyberpunk titles on Monday nights. In
addition, the Steam Room encourages public art by allowing patrons
and local artists to arrive with found objects and add them to the col-
laborative sculptural pieces scattered throughout the venue.
Steam Room owner, Ariella Vale, has decided that the house could
benefi t from a Web site. She wants to use the site as a marketing tool
to promote featured events, the monthly special—a different tea is
featured each month, and sales. Ariella also wants to include a page
that features a different local non-profi t organization each month.
The page should include a blurb about the non-profi t organization,
contact information, and, if possible, a link to the non-profi t's Web
site. She wants to be able to update this feature page herself.

( Hint : Research the target audience as needed.)

four competing Web sites or other Web sites that cater to a
similar target audience, and then write a paragraph summariz-
ing your fi ndings.
4. Develop two end-user scenarios for the site.
5. Create an information category outline for the site.
6. Create a fl owchart for the site.

paragraph explaining your choices.
