In-Depth Information
•
Cell spacing.
The width of the cell walls measured in pixels. If you set the border to 0,
the table still will be invisible no matter what you set the cell spacing to. When no cell
spacing is specifi ed, most browsers display the table as if the cell spacing were set to 2.
Although this is usually fi ne, you should specify a cell spacing to ensure that the table
is always displayed correctly.
•
Header.
The table cells that contain heading information (also called header cells).
There are four possible options: None specifi es no header cells, Left makes the fi rst
column of cells header cells, Top makes the fi rst row of cells header cells, and Both
makes both the fi rst row and the fi rst column header cells. Designating header cells
enables users who rely on assistive devices to more easily understand the table
information.
•
Caption.
A table title that is displayed outside of the table. The optional caption can
aid users who rely on assistive devices.
•
Align caption.
The alignment of the caption in relation to the table.
•

A description of the table. Assistive devices read the summary, but the text is
not displayed in the page.
