SESSION 4.1 VISUAL OVERVIEW
The <div #container>
tag is a div tag with
the ID style #container
applied to it.
When a tag is
contained within
another tag, the
relationship is called a
parent-child
relationship . The
outside container tag is
the parent , and the
inside contained tag is
the child .
The div tag creates a
transparent, block-
level container in a
Web page to hold
content.
In prebuilt pages,
Dreamweaver adds a
comment (in gray)
before the closing div
tags to help you
distinguish one closing
div tag from another.
It is a good idea to do
the same thing
yourself when you add
a div tag to a page.
