in a Web site for
a newly opened
coffee bar.
Case Problem 4
There are no Data Files needed for this Case Problem.
Coffee Lounge Tommy wants you to start working on the navigation system and the
styles for the Coffee Lounge site. He asks you to create CSS styles, add appropriate text to
the Web site, and then format the text you added. You'll view the code, upload the modi-
fi ed pages to the remote site, and then preview the remote site.
1. Open the Coffee Lounge site you created in Tutorial 2, Case 4, and then open the
index.html page.
2. Move the styles from the home page to an external style sheet, using an appropriate
style sheet name and location.
3. Add content to the home page of the site. Include logo text, navigation text, head-
ings, and content that you develop based on the site plan created for the Web site.
4. Create at least two new CSS styles for the page, and then apply appropriate styles to
the logo text and the headings.
5. Create links from the navigation text to the pages you will create for the site. Follow
your site plan so that the links will work once you create the new pages.
6. Read the content that you have added to the page to ensure that it supports the
siteĀ goals.
7. Use the spelling checker and then proofread the content to ensure that there are no
misspellings or typing errors.
8. Save the home page and the style sheet, and then preview the home page in a
browser.
9. Upload the index.html page and the stylesheets folder to your remote server, and
then preview the page over the Internet.
10. Submit your fi nished fi les to your instructor.
