Tivat has been completely transformed by the opening of this ritzy superyacht marina,
complete with a naval museum, glamorous beach club, day spa, restaurants, bars and,
soon, a Regent Hotel.
Until recently, Žabljak's hotels were fair to middling at best and Nikšić's not even that
good. Newcomers Hotel Soa and Hotel Marshal have raised the bar for both towns. (

Both the hut itself and its website have been completely reconstructed, making it the
most comfortable, environmentally conscious and easy-to-access of all of Montenegro's
mountain huts.
Sure, people have been kitesurfing on Velika Plaža for years, but things have stepped up
a notch, with excellent operators whizzing thrillseekers over the waters from here and
neighbouring Ada Bojana.
In the last five years the potholes have gone, the public beach has been tidied up, a board-
walk has been added and many of the crumbling palazzos have been restored.
