Clinging to the banks of the Crnojević River, this little village was a favourite of
Montenegro's ruling Petrović-Njegoš dynasty, and some of the relatively humble stone
houses were once royal dwellings. A picturesque stone bridge spans the river and a marble
promenade extends along one bank, providing a launching point for boat and kayak tours
heading towards Lake Skadar. The peace and quiet is just as appealing today, but the vil-
lage now also has one of Montenegro's best seafood restaurants.
