The trains are old and can be hot in summer, but they're priced accordingly and the route through the mountains is
spectacular. In January 2006 a failure in the breaking system caused a train to derail in the Morača Canyon, killing 43
people and injuring hundreds. In November 2012 two people were killed when a train crashed into a repair trolley.
