Not only is this
place a treat for its offerings of fresh Ston oysters and the best sushi in Dalmatia, the set-
ting is absolutely divine, with views of the Cathedral from its terrace tables. And it all
goes wonderfully with a chilled Croatian white. The service is friendly and professional.
Lucin Kantun

Lucin Kantun is a modest-looking establishment
with shabby-chic decor and a few pavement tables, but appearances can be deceptive -
this restaurant serves up some of the most creative food in Dubrovnik. Virtually
everything on the short mezze-style menu is excellent. It's all freshly cooked from an
open kitchen so you may have to wait a while at busy times.

This lovely little place has a
terrace on a tiny Old Town street and a cute interior, with vintage pieces adorning the tra-
ditional stone walls and colourful but tasteful modern furniture. The food is good, with
an emphasis on keeping it simple and local. The Oliva Pizzeria, next door, is also excel-
lent.

Maltese chef Jeffrey Vella, this is fine dining at its highest, with small, refined, flavour-
bursting (and wallet-busting) parcels of creative food resting on your plate like jewels.
The setting is unmatched, on top of the city walls with tables positioned so you can peer
through the battlements over the harbour.
