In-Depth Information
Sleeping
Hotel Dulović
( 050-472 615; hoteldulovic@t-com.me; Trg Ljubomira Bakoča bb; s/d €20/40; ) Hidden in the corner
of the square behind the park, this midsize hotel is a strictly perfunctory affair that's
personality-less but clean. There's a restaurant downstairs that provides a decent cooked
breakfast.

Hotel Palas
( 050-472 508; hotelpalasmojkovac@t-com.me; Podgorica-Belgrade hwy; s/d €24/43; ) Montenegro's
pointiest hotel has the form of a set of interconnecting triangles collapsing into each other
like a matryoshka doll. The rooms are clean and serviceable in an early-1980s kind of
way, but it's certainly no palace.
Eating
Eating options are limited to a couple of shabby restaurants and bakeries selling the ubi-
quitous burek (meat or cheese pastry) near the bus station. The square has two grocery
stores and several cafe-bars, some of which serve cake and ice cream.
Getting There & Away
Mojkovac's large bus station ( 050-470 133; Podgorica-Belgrade Highway) is a major stop on the
Podgorica-Belgrade route. Destinations include Podgorica (€6, two hours,), Kolašin (€4,
35 minutes,), Pljevlja (€6.50, two hours) and Belgrade (€19, 9½ hours).
The train station is harder to find: take the road between the Hotel Palas and the
cemetery; veer left past the timber yard; and keep going to the southern outskirts of town.
Trains head from here to Bar (€6.20, 2¾ hours, three daily), Podgorica (€4.40, two hours,
six daily) and Bijelo Polje (€1.20, 15 minutes, five daily).
