salubrious location, but Evropa is handy to the train and bus stations and offers good
clean rooms with comfortable beds, writing desks and decent showers. Despite its dimin-
utive size there's a sauna and ample parking.

Hotel Kerber

with the hotel accessed from the rear of a central city shopping centre draped in fake ivy.
However, the rooms are good, clean and surprisingly quiet. Plus the name is pronounced
a bit like 'carebear', which is kinda cute. The 'economic' single would be great value if
the shower wasn't directly above the toilet.

) A wonderful showcase of 1960s Yugoslav architecture, the Podgorica has been
luxuriously modernised yet retains its period charm - the river-stone cladding blending
into stone the shade of Montenegro's mountains. The best rooms have terraces facing the
river.

) A business-orientated makeover in 2008 has thankfully kept the 1970s exterior angu-
larity of this city-fringe hotel, while the surrealist art of Dado Ðurić has prevented a total
beige-out inside. There's a small gym, comfy furnishings and helpful English-speaking
staff.
