Antigona's clifftop terrace offers perhaps
the most romantic aspect of any eatery in Ulcinj, and handsome waiters in bowties only
add to the impression. The seafood is excellent too - but be sure to check the price and
weight of the fish in advance if you wish to avoid any nasty surprises come bill time. It
also rents rooms (from €10 per person).

A SURFEIT OF STREET NAMES
You're unlikely to a find a single street sign in many Montenegrin towns but in Ulcinj you'll sometimes find
three different ones per street: a Montenegrin name and an Albanian version of the Yugoslav-era name as well as
a new Albanian name. Thus the main boulevard leading east-west at the top of town is either Maršala Tita or
Gjergj Kastrioti Sk ё nderbeu, and the main street heading down to the beach is either Ulica 26 Novembra or
Rruga Hazif Ali Ulqinaku. In this text we've used the name that was most prominently displayed at the time of
research (usually the new Albanian names), but be aware that there is a push to return to the old names.
Drinking & Nightlife
The Mala Plaža promenade buzzes on summer nights. All the bars get packed, fast food
is served hand over fist, and nightclubs spark into life.

A worthy attempt at an Irish pub with dark wood and
electric candles adding to the atmosphere.
