Getting There & Around
AIR
Tivat Airport is 3km south of town and 8km through the tunnel from Kotor. Taxis charge
around €5 to €7 for Tivat, €10 for Kotor and €25 for Budva.
Hire-car companies with counters at the airport include Avis, Europcar, In
Montenegro, Meridian Rentacar and Sixt.
BICYCLE
Bike Tivat ( www.biketivat.com ; subscription per day/week €5/30) has four automated docking stations
scattered around Tivat and two in Donja Lastva . You'll need to purchase a subscription
at the tourist office and then use an electronic card to unlock the bikes. Bikes are free for
the first half-hour and then charged at 50c for up to an hour; subscriptions include up to
four hours of use.

BUS
Buses to Kotor (€2.20, 20 minutes) stop outside a silver kiosk on Palih Boraca. The main
bus station is inconveniently located halfway between Tivat and the airport. From there
buses head to Herceg Novi (€3, 10 daily), Kotor (€2, seven daily), Budva (€3, at least
hourly), Bar (€6, seven daily), Podgorica (€7, at least hourly) and Belgrade (€28, daily).
CAR
Tivat sits on the western side of the Vrmac Peninsula, which juts out into the Bay of Ko-
tor and divides it in two. The quickest route to Kotor is to take the main road southeast in
