Hidden in the moun-
tains near the Croatian border, this small British-run camping ground offers solar-gener-
ated hot water, odourless composting toilets and a whole lot of seclusion. If you hadn't
guessed already, clothing is optional. Tents (with full bedding) can be hired for an addi-
tional €5 to €15 per person and meals can be arranged (breakfast/lunch/dinner €3/4/7.50).

Situated at an altitude of 1160m, this stone lodge is a four-hour hike from Herceg Novi.
Recent renovations have left it with solar power, a water recycling system, comfortable
four-bed dorms with linen, a large bunkroom for those with their own sleeping bags and,
of course, refurbished kitchen and toilets. Full board is offered for an additional €15.
Orjen Sedlo Mountain Hut

Near the centre of the Orjen
massif at a height of 1600m, the Orjen Saddle hut has a generator, toilets, a kitchen and
20 bunk beds. It's only opened by arrangement and you'll need to bring your own bed-
ding, but meals can be booked.

Positioned on
the busy stretch of road leading to the car ferry, this attractive minihotel has spacious
rooms with terraces and sea views. Across the highway, hammocks, loungers and day
beds are arranged around the hotel's little white-pebble beach.
