8.4 The Future of Biofuels
Biomass has a special role to play in the sustainable electricity supply systems of the future
due to the fact that it is easily stored. Electricity generation based on biofuels, supported by
adequate fuel distribution and fuel stores local to the generation plant, is fully dispatchable
