E-merchandizing . The use of technological tools in the display and pres-
entation of products and services in the online boutique.
E-paper . A display technology designed to reproduce the appearance of
ordinary ink on paper. It is based on a technology that enables the reflection
of light like ordinary paper and is capable of holding text and images indefi-
nitely without drawing electricity.
E-people . A term used to refer to online users or consumers. Also see

E-retail . See e-commerce.
E-shopping . Simply put, this means shopping online.
E-store . See e-boutique.
E-zine . This refers to online magazines that don't exist offline in parallel.
Email . Who doesn't know the meaning of email? Seriously, I don't think it
is necessary to define email but there may be someone out there looking for
a simple way of explaining its meaning to their grandmother, so here goes:
“Email or electronic mail is the a system for sending and receiving messages
electronically over a computer network”. Good luck with explaining the
meaning of a computer network.
Email Alert . Information originating from a website destined towards the
mailbox of usually thousands of people on a database. The purpose is often
to solicit, inform, sell or simply bother people's peace of mind.
Everquest . An online based 3-D fantasy-themed multiplayer game. It is
based on role playing in real time and is one of the several online massive
multiplayer games that could become addictive, so watch out.
EZ Reader . A small and lightweight digital device that enables the
storage and reading of hundreds of thousands of topic pages. The pages use
a paper-like e-ink technology designed to enhance legibility even in bright
light environments.
Facebook . An online social network that connects people with friends and
others linked to them through work and play. It is generally used to keep up
with friends or connect with new ones, although many now view it as a modern
disease due to its high adoption rate and addictive nature. This social network
has recently been adopted by several luxury brands many of whom are focused
more on outnumbering their competitors' fan base than really understanding
the nature and value of the network and consider if it is right for their brand.
Feed . This is a system that converges or aggregates web contents from
different sources according to pre-identified the interest areas. Several online
