Both friction coefficient and wear were sensitive to the selected experimental
parameters such as load and temperature.
As seen in Fig. 2a and 2b, the friction coefficient, µ of PEI was found to be in-
dependent of load and temperature. The µ was high as compared to the unidirec-
tional sliding mode (µ = 0.3) [8]. In the case of fretting wear, generally high µ
