80°C/3 h, 120°C/1 h, 200°C/1 h and 250°C/1 h. Figure 1 compares the FT-IR spectra
of the copolyimides derived from the different fluorinated aromatic diamines. The
absorptions at about 1780 and 1720 cm -1 , assigned to the asymmetric and symmetric
C=O stretching vibrations of imide groups, respectively, are observed in all of the
copolymers, and the absorption at about 1380 cm -1 is assigned to the C-N stretching
vibration of imide groups. Figure 2 depicts the UV-visible spectra of the copolyim-
ides. It can be seen that the cut-off wavelengths are usually located between 320 and
