In-Depth Information
Additionally, it is important to verify the location of the deployment log file. If the installation should fail, you
will need to access the deployment log to understand why it failed. By default, the deployment log is located at
/opt/oracle/oak/onecmd/tmp/ .
Once the deployment is complete, the Oracle Appliance Manager will change to the Complete Screen
(see Figure 3-13 ). At this point, you can click the Close button to exit the Oracle Appliance Manager.

sometimes items are missed and the deployment does not work. the most common items that are missing are
Dns entries or duplicate Ip address. When the deployment runs, each step reports on its status. If a step fails, look at the
log file in /opt/oracle/oak/onecmd/tmp/ .
Note
Oracle Database Appliance Redeploy
Sometimes you need to redeploy the base image to the Oracle Database Appliance. Redeploying will wipe out your all
your databases and the ASM configuration associated with the Oracle Database Appliance. To perform a redeploy for the
Oracle Database Appliance is a very simple task and is executed with the cleanupDeploy.pl script (see Listing 3-11).
