The public IP addresses for dom0 on both physical servers are now configured. This allows access to the dom0
via any SSH client. At this stage, the ODA only has the dom0 accessible; this is the platform that is needed for
ODA_BASE, which is the special ODA Database VM template required to run the Oracle Database Cluster.
Deployment of ODA_BASE
In order to deploy ODA_BASE, the template needs to be downloaded from My Oracle Support via patch 16985062. For
version 2.8, the patch number can change; it is always recommended to use My Oracle Support note 888888.1. The
files can be downloaded and then moved to the Dom0 that resides on Node 0 in
/OVS
. This allows the preparation of
the template for deployment, as demonstrated in Listing 10-2.
