The main international carriers are Air France, Brussels Airlines, Royal Air Maroc and
Ethiopian Airlines, which offer direct flights to France, Belgium, Morocco and Ethiopia
respectively, and connecting flights to the rest of the world.
Other major airlines include Asky, which flies to major capitals in West and Central
Africa, Air Burkina, with flights to Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) and Air Côte d'Ivoire,
which flies to Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire).
All airlines have offices in Lomé.
LAND
Benin
Bush taxis regularly ply the road between Gare de Cotonou in Lomé and Cotonou (Benin;
CFA5000, three hours) via Hilakondji (CFA800, one hour), while ABC OFFLINE MAP
GOOGLE MAP ( 90 07 69 56; Rue Olympos Sylvano) in Lomé has daily buses to Cotonou
(CFA6000, three hours).
The main northern crossing is at Kétao (northeast of Kara). You can also cross at To-
houn (east of Notsé) or Nadoba (in Koutammakou country), arriving in Boukoumbé, but
public transport is infrequent. Note that Beninese visas are not issued at the border.
Burkina Faso
The best way to get to Ouagadougou from Lomé is by bus, via Dapaong. NTI

93; Ave Agustino de Souza) are reliable companies. NTI and CTS have three services weekly
(CFA12,500) and TCV has two weekly (CFA15,000).
From Dapaong, you'll easily find a taxi to Sinkasse (CFA1500, 45 minutes), which
straddles the border. From there it's CFA6000 to Ouagadougou by bus. The border is open
from 6am to 6pm.
Ghana
From central Lomé it is only 2km - CFA500/1500 in a shared/chartered taxi or taxi-moto
(CFA500) - to the chaotic border crossing (open 6am to 10pm) with Aflao in Ghana.
From there, you can cross on foot to pick up minibuses to Accra.
STIF OFFLINE MAP GOOGLE MAP ( 99 42 72 72; off Blvd de la Marina) runs daily
buses between Lomé and Abidjan via Accra (CFA6000, four hours), while UTB
OFFLINE MAP GOOGLE MAP ( 99 45 46 34; Rue Sylvanus Olympo) offers three-
weekly services between Lomé and Accra (CFA7000).
