Internet cafes are plentiful, and the number of wi-fi spaces is increasing almost daily (par-
ticularly in Dakar). Surfing costs from CFA400 to CFA500 per hour; wi-fi in hotel lobbies
and bars is usually free with a purchase.
MONEY
The unit of currency is the West African CFA franc. Banks with ATMs are found in all
larger towns across the country. Banks and exchange bureaux tend to offer similar rates;
the currencies most easily changed are the euro and US dollars.
