WORTH A TRIP
CREEK TOWN
For a worthwhile day trip from Calabar, head to Creek Town by boat (N400) from the wharf on Marina Rd, leav-
ing around 7am and noon, coming back at 4pm.
Once there, get in touch with Itaeyo ( 0803 741 2894) , who will show you the prefab colonial buildings
and artifacts, traditional architecture and the king's palace (bring booze as a gift for the king). Also learn about
the legacy of missionary Mary Slessor, who ended the traditional practice of killing twins.
